1. I asked You, oh Bestower, by the greatest sign
And by the dusty courtyard and the green dome

2. And by al-Aqsa Mosque, and by the rope and staff
And by the first creation, and by the last revelation

3. And by the Light, and the Proof, and the Grace, and the Splendor
And by the Greatest Dye, and by the Sacred Wisdom

4. Grant me what You have made me yearn for and attain
With which You honored my ancestors and increased my pride

5. And with which You gladdened my heart and gave it
Comfort, delighting my soul and expanding my chest
