تعلم إن تشا عزا

1. Learn, if you desire honor
For every ignorance is humiliation

١. تَعَلَّم إِن تَشا عِزّا
فَكُلُّ جَهالَةٍ ذِلّة

2. So how many weep over a burden
Caused by their own blindness

٢. فَكَم باكٍ عَلى وِزرٍ
بِعَينٍ مِنهُ مِنهلّة

3. And perhaps he who stumbles may steady
If he desires to correct his stumbling

٣. وَربّتما يَزَلُّ إِذا
أَرادَ إِزالَةَ الزلّة

4. Can souls be healed without knowledge?
When they are already afflicted

٤. وَهَلأ تَشفى بِلا عِلمٍ
نُفوسٌ هُنَّ مُعتَلّة

5. The cure for a man is to know
The cause if he knows not the cause

٥. طَبيبُ المَرءِ علّتُهُ
إِذا لَم يَعرِفِ العلّة
