1. I marveled at the boat of Ibn al-Husayn
How it sails without sinking
١. عَجِبتُ لِحَرّاقَةِ اِبنِ الحُسَي
نِ كَيفَ تَسيرُ وَلا تَغرَقُ
2. With a sea beneath it and another
Above, pressing down
٢. وَبَحرانِ مِن تَحتِها واحِدٌ
وَآخَرُ مِن فَوقِها مُطبِقُ
3. And stranger still are its planks
Touched by water yet unwarped
٣. وَأَعجَبُ مِن ذاكَ عيدانُها
وَقَد مَسَّها كَيفَ لا تورِقُ
