So judge the absent by the present
١. أَحسَنُ ما في صالِحٍ وَجهُهُ
فَقِس عَلى الغائِبِ بِالشاهِدِ
2. My eyes observed in him a nature
That calls for cherishing the parent
٢. تَأَمَّلَت عَيني لَهُ خِلقَةً
تَدعو إِلى تَزنِيَةِ الوالِدِ
