1. O Father of God, listen to my words
Some words are accompanied by integrity

2. You see a darkness returning with the nights
To the world as Iyad returned

3. Tribes whose roots perished so they perished
And their mention lasted a time so they returned

4. They were plants in the sand as eggs
It held them as locusts held the eggs

5. So when they were watered they crawled and moved
And increased when the rivers overflowed for them

6. They are the eggs of ashes split from them
And some eggs resemble the ashes

7. Tomorrow their brothers will come to you dirty
And pull them short and Aad will return

8. So the cities will fail to contain them, crowded
And the houses and countries will fill

9. I have not seen the like of them who perished and returned
Nor the like of them few then multiplied

10. Among them mingled lowly and Khawaz
And riffraff so they are their supplies

11. And the dark-skinned Nabateans changed
Among them to Arabs so the dark perished

12. If the Imam willed he'd set up a market
And sell them as fertilizer is sold
