1. I see among us soon a house of falsehood
And falsehood neither visits nor is visited
١. أَرى مِنّا قَريباً بَيتَ زَورٍ
وَزَورٌ لا يَزورُ وَلا يُزارُ
2. It gives no gifts, and none are given unto it
Such is not the way of good neighbors amongst the Arabs
٢. وَلا يُهدي وَلا يُهدي إِلَيهِ
وَلَيسَ كَذاكَ في العَرَبِ الجِوارُ
