1. We bear her greetings of longing
To those curves and undulations

2. As the morning breeze blew gently and brought
To the hilltops the breaths of meadows

3. Sweeter than talking of wishes
Though excuses be unreal

4. And more gratifying than nights of union that unfold
Oh, longing for those nights

5. Muhammad, O son of Isa, then enough
Your place in my prayers and supplications

6. And O son of Hadhrami, how high you rise
To surpass in your ascent the example

7. O sufficient though by my judgement
And your worth, I say O lord of lords

8. Move as you wish, for you are a full moon
Moving from perfection into perfection

9. Or stand fast, whenever you desire a matter
For you are a pillar of pillars

10. And whatever you do, you are a shadow
And God protects you from the shadows' shadows
