While You know best the shameless

5. Send us relief to soothe the souls
And fulfill the safety of the frightened

6. So I may see the substitute of its radiance
And it may see a substitute for my tears

7. My sorrows blossomed and shed all their fruit
Gratitude hollows out hardships however they persist

8. I did not fear to settle in a town
Where it has partisans among its people, and it is spotted

9. They did not make me blink, but they blinked at glory
They did not lose me, but they lost knowledge

10. Within my ribs is that - if I disclosed the least of it
The edges of happiness would nearly crack

11. I desire of days what You do not
And I covet what I have no coveting in

12. And deprivation denies me all I seek
While my soul agonizes over it, torn apart
