33. And time is nothing but its vicissitudes turning
Upon what you have apportioned of ease and hardship

34. And the world does not feed her sons except what
You point out from sweet and bitter

35. Through you the Hanifi religion becomes safe
When it sleeps distressed in fright

36. And your verses did not cease being pillars in its building
Supports for the wrinkled and staffs for the chopped

37. And you were the reserve among them
Whenever the Merciful blessed the hoards

38. So if the departed ones among them remained, they would exemplify
Your kingdom with a kingdom and your time with a time

39. Whenever God wills the revival of a state
Her sons call you with guile and scheming

40. And if He wills destruction upon an arrogant people
He casts them with ignorance from your noble steeds or hawks

41. And whoever is fed up of long life and honor leads him
To you the present in the rope of familiarity and flooding

42. You divide doom and prosperity with your two hands
To the passionate begging and the angry borrowing

43. So you are, when you sense prey, the killer of enemies
And you are, when you sense bounty, the killer of poverty

44. So your gift has not ceased to be tied to prosperity
And your banner has not ceased to be tied to victory

45. The prosperous right hand visited you in delegation

48. As if spring from your qualities takes its supplies

50. When will you complete a kingdom, so that after it
Kingdoms spread for you that do not wear out from folding and spreading

51. And greeted you from me with praise, a harbinger
Of beautiful visions not grown on the roads of rain

52. Having extensions from an inexhaustible conscience
