77. You gain thereby the glory while for the
Jealous the share of the frowning, sullen one

78. And drag the trains of its favors
Not moistened by dragging and not created

79. It clothed you from it generously
Without your shoulders, it does not fit

80. Your generosity manifested through a people
Just as the awe of the shining one manifests

81. You are whom if you were not my hope
Despair would make me mute

82. I hung from you with a loose knot
Reaping what my hanging one did not reap

83. Every hand that troubles me with harm
You are from its burrow, my refuge

84. In a time whose plots pierce me
It has none but me from the pierced one

85. It sees my innermost with what I do not see
When I was wary of my fate

86. That is because among its sons
I did not befriend estrangement or breach

87. A monotheist, if his palm abandoned
One like me gloomy, it would not reach

88. And he is a foe of virtue since he did not
Vie in forbearance with the most forbearing

89. So remain for none like you in generosity or
Anyone like me accustomed to praise that remains

90. And delight in the distant, the lofty anew
And composed in doctrine composed

91. For a Muslim beholds him from a rise
And a disbeliever with a downcast beholder

92. They accompany despite the contrast of their states
The accompaniment of the rich and the destitute

93. Your prosperity includes both of them
So it joins the captive with the released

94. And cast off the clothes of fasting from the shoulder
Of every burden tomorrow freed

95. And heed in capacity what the eye missed
Of me, of the embarrassment, the exhausted one

96. Doubt had been about you, if I had not been
Taking the most prudent and confirmed

97. And build thereby an untouched virgin
Born in permissibility, not insulted or stolen

98. Rebellious, if not for you, she would not be married
And if you divorce her, she is not divorced
