Or her carpenter would heal from their hues

12. Except what her pallor harmed of her traits of beauty and continuity
I have not seen a whiter night in life

13. Unless its moons rose to me
How many flowers upon verdure nod to me

14. In which are houses that have not been frequented by visitors
And a night whose guardian intentionally forgave me

15. And emptied my sitting area of its entertainers
So I plucked the fruit of union with her

16. From sweet fruit-bearing trees
And plentiful privacy for its own sake

17. Yet brief for youths to bear
Its secret was not spied upon me with suspicion

18. Protecting and its shame was not able upon me
And Umm Khushf’s scent - its conversation

19. Between slanderers is the purity of its wrapper
She started indulging me on condition of purpose

20. The elite cup whose draught is its essence
Intoxicated, and in her sluggishness is her veil

21. No cupbearer and perfumed is its scent dispersal
The night recognizes me between houses

22. With a mark the day denies
Passion does not control me, to its utmost

23. Nor is its solicitation heard by me
And the paths of the sublime do not incapacitate me

24. In effort, nor make me fear its perils
And an utterance whose plateau cannot be ascended

25. Nor churns turbidly its clouds
Refractory to tongues from its path

26. Slippery, stumbling are its mires
I was toward excellence apologizing its audacity

27. And to men, apologizing its oration
I stood with it extending me from behind it

28. Repelling what its spears had gathered
As if I were of the excellence of the oaths of Bani

29. ‘Abd al-Rahim stationed at its beacons
I sent it moving, broadcasting

30. Neither vain from it nor clamorous
How not when their vestiges

31. Were narrated and their news reported from them
It watered the living with the mention of kings whenever

32. Dew died, its commemoration restores it
And increased glory souls that ascended

33. Above the arrowhead and their destinies did not cease
They increase desire whenever they increase in dew

34. For they see the heights - that it is their pinnacle
And if the hands of clouds and virtue hardened

35. It is said its left is its right hand
So God supported palms that ransom

36. With their palms others’ fingers
What harmed land whose direction

37. The sky loathed its rains over
An oasis of glory whose branches

38. Grew from where its settlement thrived
For it in Persia it cracked open its bondmaiden

39. The noble earth - and they are its freemen
Bearing fruit unwithering is its shadow

40. That does not suffer and its cultivation does not waste you
Each era of its time is its spring

41. No barrenness, gale, or its hurricane
And its minister: Falq is sufficient for it

42. From what its lights kindled is a shining full moon
Planted thereby while he in power of elevation

43. Is an axis that revolves around its prosperity
It did not cease raising it its exaltation

44. To the glory’s arena and prominence
As if it had seen since it began

45. That to him concludes its pride
And for the heights in the lad are indications

46. Clear from it of its minaret
To the state’s pillar my reins stretched

47. Followed not their traces
Spreading from its trotters wings

48. As its gait on land are its runways
Every path it shook off to the heights

49. It, even if its course lengthened
Does not fear the earth’s thorns even if

50. Its saliva melted over the heat of its love's agony
Traveling in needs and it is prepared

51. To attain what its envoy desired
Its torches in ambiguities guide it

52. Gently upon the wounded gazelle its spearhead
It does not know the excuse for frowning at delight

53. When the steeds are excused their visions
It moves slowly while its ascents crumble

54. Its arrows shed or its bowstrings snap
Until when it embarked in its territory generously

55. What it garners differs from what it produces
It meets it lightly so when it relaxes

56. It is like plateaus above it are its dignities
Munificence proclaims through it that thus

57. About kings - so let its visitors return
Through you the religion’s nobility sprouted

58. Its chivalry and maidenhood lapsed
And through you the vastness of its grants

59. And safety if precautions wearied it
A season of grace whose market does not wane

60. And a house of glory whose neighbor is not disgraced
And gifts and sweets that amazed

61. The earth’s mountains and even its seas
The world acknowledged despite its ignorance

62. That you are better than whoever its corners embraced
The single planet among its sons

63. If it were to choose none would surpass its choice
It multiplied with one of you just as

64. It reduced the creatures with its abundance
And the state of Al Basal is certain

65. That you on its assault day are its conqueror
And that what you compose of its affair

66. Bitter for others is the diffusion of it
If brought close its enemies fear it

67. And if you distance fear it its supporters
You left it since you secluded from its house

68. For it the welling of the eye and its tear ducts' burning
Wearing wretchedly no chastity and piety

69. Upon the surface of its face is its veil
Abandoned to vilification, its legal advocates prevent it not

70. Nor its intercessors, and its pleadings extend
A hand clenched, in it not its sword

71. And not its bracelet, congregating against it
The passions toward you and leveled are its measures

72. And confessed to you hostility our confession
Of truth when denial did not avail it

73. And certain that you in us are a sign
Remaining, and good is its discernment

74. And if it saw the face of denial it would deny
But rather the necessity of its confession

75. O you through whom I made the taste of my life palatable
After what my mouth had made bitter its passage

76. And redirected my days despite its insistence
Regretful, its apology embarrassing me

77. And whom I sanctified, so did not drop
My hopes’ reins nor their regulations

78. Every day is an exotic grace
I am granted as if borrowing it

79. It comes and I had not pridefully reached
For it, nor tortured me is its wait

80. Filling my void is its dress
And covering my defect is its splendor

81. The closest that can be from me is its arrival
If it went away or its homes distanced

82. So what harms my fortune from you
The orbits' ascent and descent

83. But a burning longing in my ribs
A crime whose forgiveness cannot be grasped

84. And anguish when I sigh for it
From my liver its flames burn me

85. Is there for this illness a soft recitation
That breathes in its knot its sorcerer

86. Or is there from your noble grace
A visit whose burdens through you are accomplished

87. It over souls is an extraordinary sign
A miracle in your view is its disregard

88. Neither reduced from you the shadows of your realm
The days' tribulations or its decrees

89. Nor transformed from your glory’s silver strands
Passage of days and their recurrence

90. And endowed you true grace
Long are its covenants in age

91. And it rouged its face from others
The state of the world unfolding to you

92. Uncovering to you its secrets
Of who opposes your glory is its decline

93. And in you despite him is its settlement
Moving with praise not seen

94. Ceasing the habit of its travel
It does not create in its extent a withholding

95. As if its night were its daytime
It folds the horizons no guards for it

96. Except what its pages contain
The earth yearns for it, then it did not arrive

97. For its news precedes it
Its gathering imagines it when it passes by

98. A pleasing aroma passed by it a perfumer
It carries sins praising other than you

99. Until with you are laden its burdens
It brings you from it at holidays a piece

100. Jewels beneath my mouth are its seas
From what I solace - neither loaned before

101. Were its assistance nor its virgins
Tamim and Fuhayl and Wa’il’s stallions wished
