1. You are praiseworthy in your condition
Whether you are stingy or generous

2. The heart becomes miserable or happy with you
Just as the feather when prosperous saw you

3. O branch whose spring remained
The water does not separate from it or the stick

4. Your beauty went beyond being bounded
And the full moon has diminished compared to you

5. Stay up, tell the night about its end
For the morning gathering is witnessed

6. O gazelle, if you stayed in it and gazelles from Babylon have left
A place that was once flourishing

7. Do you not see the partridges crying out "Set out!"
Sanctity has ended and what was forbidden is now allowed

8. And the full moon calls out with eyebrows "Eyebrows!"
Announcing the feast, for the feast is there

9. So precede its sister sun in illumination
For its existence in time is eternal

10. The Jew protected its vessels from
The seal being opened or the keys being taken

11. He counted men of his people as having
In its virtue, links to him

12. Fun made him glorify it
So to him in life it is an idol

13. Red, how hands have failed to attain
Its complexion in cheeks so often turned

14. From the mouth of its vessel to the lip of the cup
The pillar of morning is outstretched

15. A religion of fun you are, do not be barred
From its door when you are playful

16. Seize today in your joy and the hour
For time is limited

17. As long as the youth calls you fun
And the branch flirts and the breeze is gentle

18. Tomorrow whiteness, O Killer of God, shall not peel
From your radiance however much blackness

19. Old age and joy cannot be gathered by a hand
Nor wealth and generosity completed

20. None but its waster diminishes wealth
The stingy rich man is blamed

21. O rider, no she-camel edged him on
Nor did arrows compete for his person

22. Nor did gambling guide his fortune
To which the noble she-camels are driven

23. Between his aim and him is the correctness
Of the shooter and his support

24. Say to the son of Abdelraheem you lived so excellence was not lacking
While you are present

25. Glory has filled you that your door is open
While the door of sustenance is locked

26. People cram into it hopeful and content
While the generous bowl overflows

27. That your well-being and the Provider are compatible
Something you want is compatible to you

28. You are not in humiliation by begging or
Indebted by the gifts you have given

29. People differ in your generosity
Some seek and some sought

30. And people are described as brilliant
And patience described as solid

31. Praise clothes you in every new garment
Its manners have long renewal

32. The pearls of glory in it, in describing you
Are strung, and the alignment of words, aligned

33. You discern from it what you critique
And most of the critique is imitation

34. And poetry, had it not found you as its sign
Would be nothing but rhyme and meter absent

35. Those who simplify struggle with it
While with the eloquent it is despised

36. You remained of it by praising you
A treasure, its like is the hunt

37. Every girl whose affection is sought when
She loses favor comes to you esteemed

38. Her friend you are, and the envious of her
And I are deprived of nearness to you

39. In his face people when they hear her
Are scared, though in his heart are clefts

40. He is disturbed by it for something that saddens him
And the name of the dove's weeping is trilling

41. No holiday has passed unless upon you
Even if you decided to delay the promise
