The limbs from his household

28. Neither old age rescued the old, nor
Abstinence the youth, nor were children spared

29. My soul yearns, O People of Taha,
A yearning which brought burning and ashes

30. Too little are my ribs that shudder
With fervor, or my tears poured down

31. This was so, and my love for you counts
And I have no religion after connection

32. My happiness is black, so how can I
Now have from you its whiteness and polishing

33. Your love freed me from idolatry
And on my shoulders are its shackles

34. How I was clad in humiliation until
I stood in your robe of honor and swaggered

35. Blessings upon you erased from my heart
What misguidance collected, paternal uncle and maternal uncle

36. And I knew that my eulogy of you
Is welcome upon you

37. For you, from the folds of what age assisted
In it delay and haste

38. And for you on the Day of Resurrection, sway
Of my balance with good, if the atom was weighed

39. And my certainty that my deeds
Will be verified through you the day hopes are belied
