2. So leave her pacing slowly with her camel train
Behind her are the steeds and mounted warriors

3. An aged, wise man fulfilling what he borrowed of her determination
While the aggressor cannot get his chance

4. Nor the repeller hopes to gain from her
The swords sheathe her distinguishing signs from her Lord

5. When they appear on a neck or thigh
They are eyes keeping guard over her

6. Sleep! For this sanctuary has made her sacred
And gathered her while she wandered untamed

7. And made all people together incapable of herding her
So today one herds her, and all submit

8. Most awe-inspiring, undefeated by deception
Nor do schemes creep into her sanctuary

9. He lent her an eye, so she became a charm
While the devil of the age is subdued

10. Her tent was carpeted by the All-Sufficient
So shade pours and the breeze blows cool

11. Time bowed to her with its crown
And the binder released the rope of humiliation from her

12. She embodied that after her the spring
Was sheets of rain from His hands pouring down

13. The branches of glory dived beneath her water
So the withered bloomed and food was set

14. The barren earth laughed from the face of fertile land
And the frozen valley of honors flowed forth

15. Good tidings were heralded to the remnants of its people
"Do not despair among the people, for one who brings glory remains"

16. He transferred to the children of seekers and purpose
While the pilgrim's roads were too narrow for them

17. They trade glory, so it decreases in value
In their hands, while covetous merchandise increases

18. Your affection covers them while they are
Honored in horizons or wanderers in the wild

19. He took charge of affairs so bent their necks
Yearning for goals while settled

20. And managed the world according to its corruptions
So it was set right while time remains decayed

21. Firm in his resolve, piercing the ignorance of the age
A bare sword, its sheath discarded

22. He sees the face of today revealing the chest of tomorrow
Which gives him the downpours from its clouds

23. He takes wisdom only from the Most High
While people descend, he ascends

24. He saw the limit of his glory as a beginning
When his palm was aided by his arm

25. The perfection of all kept him awake alone
While in the eyes of people he slept

26. He brought dignity while time is foolish
And generosity while clouds are frozen

27. In the kingdom he shone like a shooting star
Whose spark set ablaze a stagnant reign

28. Victorious by himself for himself
Like a lion buying whatever lacks a helper

29. Restraint cannot control his affair
Nor can calamities fray his patience

30. Excellence lifts him from his heavy burdens
With a staff the frozen cannot bear

31. He stretched his wing's protection over the state
As no father stretches affection over his sons

32. Until it stood straight though straying sightless
A blind leader before it has no guide

33. How many steps slipped with it in weakness
And palms did not obey it or arms assist

34. And rulers who were not helped when it transgressed
By experiment or custom were confounded

35. He guards it though none of its pillars of support
Wanes as it grows like the celestial horizon

36. A miracle appeared from him, a manifest sign
Testimony stood by it though unforeseen

37. An abrupt gift, unanticipated
And no opportunities were appointed for it

38. You were hidden, watching the days for
Its time to reveal you, or else observing

39. Like embers in flint, yesterday a spark
Today ablaze and glowing hot

40. So the eyes saw you as a star
Blooming with no customs witnessed before

41. A gift suddenly granted, not calculated
No delays were made in granting it

42. Kingdom volunteered it first
And every waner returns to generosity

43. I had harmonized for you the birds with it
While my fortune still bows

44. And its swords flashed for me in desire
Before the sheaths brought them out

45. Knowing the tools you possess
That these are swords and you the arm

46. So the knight of assumption did not fail me
Nor did delusions witnessed trick me

47. And still I have hopeful expectation in you
Accounting increases, gazing to the sky

48. Until the age's course is rent asunder
While you remain and elevation eternal

49. Through you glory regained its spilt blood
Poured out while it decayed

50. You supported it while people were ignorant
Of its right or aware but hostile

51. And you sprinkled wings upon its youth
Whose fainthearted feathers took flight

52. You give while impoverishing, truly
Only the sea gives while possessing

53. You planted in me a former grace
While I harvest from it - so for this thanks are yours

54. Kindness upon a memory, pride enduring
While time passes away

55. And consideration - you began me with wisdom
If its wisdom had recurred to me

56. But you intended good for me, while between
Were obstacles of my time blocking the way

57. Does my land deserve your clouds raining upon
Its barrenness the pouring rain?

58. I planted in you loyalty and passion
So what harvest is mine, what crops to reap?

59. Look - in darkness you destined
Equity though agreeing to darkness

60. And fulfill glory's debts in it, make wide for me
What bonds of kinship make wide

61. Be not - God forbid - of those who accompany
Whose pacts beliefs falsify

62. They were my hand though their winds lacked
My family, while fortune was against them

63. So when their gales blew furious
The loyal diminished and supporters grew distant

64. I disdained to be drunk from their disloyalty
In my disdain still cupbearers for them

65. Stingy, whom no gift honors
While the paths and goals are to it

66. If you honor, they blame the diplomacy
And if you draw near, they withdraw

67. Their oaths close off sustenance
While opportunities sigh at their shelter

68. No judgment between them is hoped from the judge
No nonsense or wrangling feared

69. And why would I desire from their eloquence
Poetry to benefit me, the non-Arabic and Arabic?

70. The vast grace you obtained surpassed
What their Muslim earned upon me, and those of the pact

71. Far from you! One is wretched in grace
Upon a time you are in, while peerless

72. Prolonging has made my hearing numb to
Relaying my words and all I endure

73. My body and patient heart are pierced
By my age's biting fangs

74. Nor beneath afflictions did excellence remain
Crawling to it the time-lost

75. Residence lacks means for me to manage it
Roads are blocked before my travels

76. Does time murder the likes of me vainly
While you are my vengeance and time my pillar?

77. You are witness to my merit - do not let me
Die jestingly, while you watch

78. Turn with burden towards me a glance
To revive me, its greeting the friendless

79. Perhaps - O best called to - it will set right

80. And take gratefulness from me, for my compensation
Contains what the far-flung ruins hold

81. Every order is enforced, so in poetry
