1. Your eyes, if they robbed me of sleep without cause,
Then plunder, O Saad's sister, is the trait of Arabs.

2. And you have robbed the slumber of all people,
For that reason your eyelid is worn out from fatigue.

3. Is that a flashing lightning that glared from contraction,
Or did you smile and so the bright teeth flashed?

4. And is that your blazing fire in the darkness,
Or is that your cheek raging with flames?

5. May God never save from the fire of love
My heart which about your love will not change.

6. If it tortured him with a fire from her love,
Good! For that is a bounty not concealed.

7. Whoever seeks to mention other than her, let him seek someone
Other than me for the mention of other than her is not from my concern.
