1. O people of life from that feverish concern
You are the purpose of all existence
١. يَا أُهَيْلَ الحَيِّ مِنْ ذَاكَ الحِمَى
أَنْتُمُ المَقْصُودُ مِنْ كُلِّ الوُجُودْ
2. The Gazelle of your verses, that one
Do not ask what has befallen it from misfortunes
٢. ظَبْيُّ أَبْيَاتِكُمُ ذَاكَ الَّذي
لاَ تَسَلْ مَا حَلَّ مِنْهُ بالأُسُودْ
3. And the sick of eyelids has recovered for him
The tradition of prevention and nullification of promises
٣. وَسَقِيمُ الجَفْنِ قَدْ صَحَّ لَهُ
سُنَّةُ المَنْعِ وَإِبْطَالُ الوُعُودْ
