1. Fear Allah and remove sorrow
An ignorant person is excused in his ignorance

2. Do not care about insults and rise above them
For reason is all reason in its conception

3. You are like one who takes refuge
In his intellect when a day brings him woe

4. Al-Farid passed away in the prime of youth
And left behind sorrow among his people

5. The angels of Allah met him in heaven
In his form

6. Woe to him, a branch that did not grow
Until it withered and was uprooted from its origin

7. Saba, cry but like the wise one who
Fears being blamed for his nobility

8. And be patient for how much anguish eats away
At one's health and surplus

9. For the lion, his sorrows do not make him forget
His place, even if he is wronged regarding his cubs
