He gathered provisions from the moons before their setting

1. He gathered provisions from the moons before their setting
For the darkness of the days of parting and their length

2. So parting may benefit a person somewhat
When the soul of a man is content with little

3. Tomorrow the sorrows will act upon the travelers as they are prone
And those wishes will be uprooted from their origins

4. And the brothers of passions know the secret of their grief
For the memory of the homeland and fear before its descent

5. Indeed those wishes have come to fruition and then perished
And the soul did not fulfill from it the easiest of its hopes

6. Oh heart, will you be devout tomorrow
As was your custom, or traveling behind the caravans?
