1. The year has brought Egypt good fortune and happiness
And rushed to you with its abundant blessings

2. So rejoice in it, and don garments embroidered
With the beauty of glorious deeds

3. And make your country within it a garden of bliss
That awakens and sleeps in a flourishing spring

4. Until it rules over years gone by
And becomes a year of virtues and pride

5. My Lord, the historian said this good fortune
Is glad tidings, O Abul Abbas, a year of good news
