1. I feared You until it was said that I did not trust
That You would pardon much and have mercy.

2. And I hoped until it was said there is no fearful one
That hellfire would blacken the faces.

3. So my state, O Lord, is confusion
About which You, beyond creation, know best.

4. Lessen me from the doubt that has surrounded me
So my state, O Lord, is ambiguous.

5. Order the veils to be lifted from You, I will receive guidance
Openly and pursue the path of truth, being directed.
