As if the sun's heat trails the Pleiades

13. Egypt was lit with light, we couldn't tell
If the illumination was earthly or heavenly

14. After the domination of the far east
His leadership mended our joy

15. Without the news we'd have known of his return
By the glow, the shine of his brilliance

16. The garden of joy flourished until we heard
In it, the palms' song of his praises

17. The command contained what commands contain
Of glory and eminence from him

18. And it encompassed from his eminence
The dark nights' wished-for moons

19. The state speaks of his absence- what can
The tongues of poets utter now?

20. Was the Nile mere spittle, only to
Fulfill it when he arrived in splendor?

21. It knew its shortcoming, so it blushed
Out of shyness, red in its demeanor

22. For your subjects, anything you wish
For you, gratitude and acclamation

23. May the days persist in a horizon of bliss
With you presiding, ever bounteous
