1. I ask Allah's forgiveness for you
People of Egypt, among you there are no men

2. Alas, I see your deep slumber in the west
And your acceptance of the occupation

3. My voice cries out, rousing and inciting
Shouting until exhaustion takes me

4. Among you I find no youth with resolve
If time passes by, it passes limbs that are sound

5. May Allah have mercy on a minister named Samah
Who led his people without accepting what displeased him, so he resigned
