1. I am in confusion and worry,
Between Egypt and my understanding.

2. This one calls out in distress,
Seeking respite from my condition and cure for my illness.

3. While that one hopes for an empty hope,
With harmful intentions towards me.

4. Let it call out whatever it calls out,
And be steadfast in my path and my way.

5. For peace is a lesson, and I have learned
The harms of peace, how it protects.

6. O Lord, by the Virgin's son, give me strength
And weigh my status and purify my name.

7. For if I justify my emptiness,
I have undoubtedly disobeyed the best of mothers.
