1. Live your life victoriously attaining your wishes,
O beauty of the world and light of the age!

2. Awaken refreshed like the radiant morning sun,
Though it gladdens with its rays like pearls.

3. It pleased her to please you with the drink
Until she smiled in the goblets.

4. My friend, serve me the gentle wine
Like what you two are drinking.

5. And leave me devoid of reason from the meadows
And spend the night there as you two leave me.

6. We are only in God’s bliss
And safe from every misfortune.

7. This parlor did not cover us and Abu Alwan
Did not bid us farewell safely.

8. A king from the kings, gentle of face,
Cheerful, gentle of form.

9. God perfected his creation then granted him
Beauty and abundant kindness.

10. He is matchless among the people,
A dear neighbor, far from vices.

11. His palms blossomed so the green of his hands
Is the green of the garden.

12. He himself is a garden so what does a garden
Strolling in a garden matter?
