4. The prince took off his clothes from them,
And his attire from the falling of their skulls.

5. In the evening they choked an innocent one,
The souls of the Christians with their conceitedness.

6. And its glory stood up for Ahmad,
With the cutting off of the necks of their parties.

7. Al-Haydari manifested to them the splitting of heads
Overcoming most of the affection with his conquerors.

8. Inheriting their heads from a father
Who eats the horsemen - their drinking of their blood.

9. They are ambitions when their prophecy was protected,
It destroyed them - the smelling of their nerves.

10. He went forth and harvested for you the sweetness of martyrdom,
From the blood that dripped from their wounds.

11. And bequeathed it to you after tasting
The bitter tasting of its wounds.

12. Your grandfather swore an oath that it does not befit
Anyone but you the wearing of his clothes.

13. You mastered Damascus with the hardship of steeds,
The Psalms of commotion between its landmarks.

14. And you ingrained your view before the swords,
So it froze the embers of its heavy ashes.

15. So it gave you what no hand had attained,
And your ascent was successful with its companions.

16. While you manage the surplus of time,
From Homs - the delay of its riders.

17. It betrays so you make up for
Its dust after its disorder.

18. And you surprised the Romans with the raids
Whose poison drips from their tails.

19. You did not throw until it threw its eggs
Towards you - the writhing of its wounds.

20. And the prideful became humbled so you humbled them,
With a narrow, straight pass for their horses.

21. With a lofty elevation above its snout,
And greater than the number of its plates.

22. You drew near to the Ata' of Umm Al-Najm,
Delaying the matter - the slowness of its chiefs.

23. And the virgin - since she was built,
The suppositions of nights have not led to its destruction.

24. Its branches with the branches of elation
Fruitful - the zeal of its youth.

25. And crooked - when it sways -
It closes the intellect for sending its arrows.

26. And those who can barely speak - the proposals
Fly - the restraint of the tongues of its spokesmen.

27. It straightens the tails of the doubt of misfortunes,
When they frown at it with their consequences.

28. And it did not bow down around the marker of destruction,
Except to prostrate to its idols.

29. So it sought refuge in Al-Mu'tasim Bi-Allah,
And he is the disperser of its realms.

30. Al-Mu'tasim - the dew and the guidance,
The whispering of destiny - without conceit.

31. Sweetening the abode with the description of openings
And the description of congratulations and its lords.

32. And its praisers are incapable
Of encompassing his manners - the horizons of its manners.

33. Wonders - if time were to go back,
It would throw the daughters of the beloved with their loved ones.

34. And where is the son of Aws and his signs
From La - it has perished in its calculation.

35. From La - Atiq has returned to it
And the son of its Khatab has turned to it.

36. So its days are from spirits that almost
Fly with it - the intensity of its fascination.

37. You have the virtue if the age wrote to you
And its evidence was established with its offspring.

38. Whenever the resolves of the oppressors rebel,
You come to leadership from its door.

39. Your father is her father, and you are her elitist son,
And the statue of its shrine.

40. I say to the one who boasted with false pride -
It slipped, so it fell with it.

41. Beware - for with the smiling of the wolves,
You fear the striking of its burning embers.

42. And do not be fooled by the fabrication of lies -
For there is fire in the coldness of its fangs.
