1. When the night of sorrows passes its abodes,
The dawn of morning light surely descends.

2. So it came with the brightness after its journey,
And its remaining signs watched over its tracks.

3. The garden smiled with flowers and branches
Danced with the leaves of its dangling vines.

4. It only smiled to bring us joy,
Flourishing beautifully as its bloom faded.

5. Indeed, the pious one whose abode is in the garden
Is the truthful one whose virtues I counted.

6. As for the wretched one whose abode is on earth,
He is the liar whose evils dragged him down.

7. And the companion of the intermediate realm, his abode,
His supplies were prepared for his journey from us.

8. Ease is the trait of this one, and hardship the trait of that,
If not for the Generous’s giving, no seeker would attain his desire.

9. From Him, the Exalted - no words were spoken
Unless their meaning looked back at them.

10. To take charge of him was inherent in his origins,
So whatever takes charge of him takes charge of his nullities.

11. Whoever contends with the Truth in anything that belongs to Him
None will contend with Him except his counterpart.
