1. What did the angels say about him,
The decree is that he will be a refuge,

2. Rather, he will be for those who seek protection in his name,
A shelter from all that souls fear,

3. The strongest of mankind and the firmest in his covenant,
Who made the idols into scattered fragments,

4. He did not take other than God as an ally,
When it was said “You”, he said “No, but this one”,

5. Out of jealousy that arose in him for his Lord,
Bestowing on him comfort, blessings and fresh provisions,

6. Thus his Lord entrusted him with the covenant,
And made him a master among His creation,

7. Calling to Islam, not bending,
For those who spoke of the one who called them, what did they say,

8. He isolated himself from mankind with his Lord,
Taking none but God as a protector,

9. So they came to him in response, slowly,
When he called them they did not come rushing,

10. Goodness in abundance descends as God’s care,
Upon their hearts, as God’s cherished ones.
