1. My passion separates while spirits unite
I am the pauper and You are the Eternal Lord

2. You are the One with the beauty of the universe endowed
And You are also the One with the essence united

3. So sight of oneness between us does not remain
In our multitude that appears without number

4. Knowledge testifies that the matter is one
As the verses have brought you so be guided

5. If creation were tasked with endless worship
Without limit they would not tire nor worship

6. My eyelids boil for the fire of passion
Ablaze within my heart from my innards

7. Some people by abandoning following went astray
While others by abandoning following found bliss

8. The truth is evident and not hidden from anyone
As the eagle and lion disputed over it

9. All people of earth agree on it
In reason and law so none reject it

10. Most wondrous among them is what they declared
Those bound by the matter they denied

11. Only their intentions regarding it differed
So excellent what they intended and miserable what they found

12. Indeed the one with insight of law realized it
For him is success, an excellent pillar and support

13. He is Noble so his gifts cannot be counted
Of bounties and from Him generosity and provision

14. When the disputant’s mind imagined it was a deception
The mind went astray so they took support

15. In the law do not cast your eyes askance
At the eyes which cataracts have afflicted

16. If they were cured they would see with what they saw
The healer of sciences by observing the planets

17. And your Lord is vigilent so be warned
That precedent and discipline know it

18. Eyes without sight yearn for you
When rancour and envy incapacitated them

19. That was when they saw an unveiling they differed over
Among those with sound minds and wisdom

20. One person said what the other would rebut
Though all look to God with diligence

21. Diverse in revelation, His rule is eternal
No spirit sees Him that has a body

22. If He revealed Himself to mysteries He would have
A rule different than this without end

23. He only reveals Himself in our insights
So perception judges what it finds

24. At times extolling Him and at times likening Him
At times embodying Him and believing thus

25. Talking about what one has imagined
And what folly and wisdom have judged

26. Glory be to Him that you see Him as
What He has seen Himself for He is The One

27. The One True with no other mediating for Him
And there is no other so conceal it if you wish

28. If I had insight into what my eyes
Looked to by it I would not be guaranteed safety

29. He is The Trustworthy Who swore an oath regarding
The right of one who had no being nor endurance

30. If eternity known of Him ceased just as
Of Him ceased when state and endurance denied it
