To a sublime journey, and the unseen hides what is sublime

3. A confidant of the essence of truth, silent
If the poor fellow spoke, people failed to grasp it

4. One persisting in the state in a sacred abode
His soul does not thirst, nor is his mystery saturated

5. One standing before people at his station
While his dwelling is in the unseen, the station of the sublime

6. One appearing amidst the space, outstanding
With wisdom sublimer than any aspiration

7. One soaring, not heeding any truth
Brought down by his claim to the station of confusion

8. Lights dawning in hearts
Indicating meaning - whoever connects, beholds

9. A lover, passionate to depart, yearning
Melted by blissful, fervent desire

10. One with breaths seen unleashed
Upon fires of passions - his heart is seared

11. One hiding the secret, its opposite appears through him
To seekers of visions, piously

12. One excellent - excellence is his existence in truth
But what he hopes for is the comfort of dew

13. A lord who has become the most literary of his time
Addresses whom he meets, wherever he came from

14. One skilled, attained discipline and climbed high
So he calls out to tongues and amusement

15. One enduring traits that have determined
Human bodies for the transformation of decay

16. One wearing the garb of one wrapped
In a dust-made body and dressed

17. One shaken awake from a malady
That struck him, cast upon the bed of blindness

18. The secret of revelation rose for him through his heart
He did not perish in anything lowly or vile

19. One witnessing the truth through the truth, upright
His ambition negates superfluities and perishing

20. An unveiler - the greatest of his conditions is perplexity
And were it not for Abu Al-'Abbas, the decree would not have relented

21. One confused, mystified by glimpses
That say to him: one who climbed high has succeeded today

22. One drinking until the Day of Resurrection without getting his fill
One tasting - unaware of the sweetness of folding

23. One with a resolve containing deception
One with reconciliation embedded in the breast

24. One finding - the spiritual state established itself for him
So ecstasy disclosed for him existence and seemliness

25. One concealing knowledge - and that is an allusion
To one cognizant, beyond expressions and controversy

26. One spreading the wing of his certainty one day
Flying and traveling in the air without passion

27. One extending his hands - and they are stingy
If not for the existence of stinginess, generosity would not be praised

28. A companion of intimacy, forever reverent
A companion of effacement from a breeze that blew

29. A companion of supreme affirmation - his majesty
Crowned with Gemini - he wore the star Al Suha
