1. God cannot be comprehended by reason
Nor can anything other than Him when you witness

2. If you seek what I said about Him
When you are fair to me about it you will find

3. The command is singular though commands are many
If you embark on it, it will lead you

4. And you will attain elucidated cognitions
And thereby your proof will get what it seeks

5. And you will equalize the penitent in every aspect
His proof beholds Him and you add to it

6. You stand by it, benefiting
So when you love through it you give benefit

7. And you were, through it, an Imam with attainment
Your munificence flows through it if you aim

8. And of what would incur blame appears
Its features become visible to your eye through it

9. So fulfill the pacts to Him until
God becomes for you as you pledged

10. And adhere to His door with the letter ba and worship
With the letter lam a day if you worship

11. And forget not your share of being
Realize it in yourself when you worship

12. And beware the violence of the deluded one day
In your heart whilst prostrating if you prostrate

13. You spurred on the steeds of resolve to an end
They preceded you and for it you prepared

14. When the banner of glory was unfurled
Yearningly you extended your right hand toward it
