1. I gathered my worries upon me
Yet I did not cease being near

2. To You, O You Most High
Above the genteel existence

3. Yet I found none but my essence
When I extended my hands

4. So the bottom of existence exults
And rises for an instant by my Lord upon me

5. Look at the news of a descent
You find in it openly

6. I did not come with my words
Anything about God aimlessly

7. This is the talk of a messenger
Whom He chose as a prophet

8. And I was not by my words
That I forgot my Lord negligently

9. When I walked to Him
I fell down prostrating in the Most High place

10. I called the Master of lords
My Lord softly moaning

11. Indeed I weakened, my God
And became an old decrepit man

12. Yet I was not in my supplication
To You, my Lord, wretched

13. You are the Guardian who has
Made my heart a guardian

14. So make me, my Lord, an imam
And make me, my Lord, pleased

15. For I weakened because of what is in me
And I melted away utterly

16. I asked my Lord that He not
Make for my self any path

17. I used to be an obedient slave
When I was a hidden king

18. God made generosity flow for me
From beneath my hidden Throne

19. And the tree trunk poured strength
Upon me, fresh and ripe

20. So it was my nourishment
And I lived a pleasant life

21. And my Lord's kindness was with me
For that purely compassionate

22. Have you seen a god
Stand up soundly?

23. That is impossible, but
I witnessed a rare matter

24. I saw it my soul's eye
From where I was a youth

25. And I did not say incarnation
Rather, I was quit of it

26. Rather, I found no alternative
When I forgot the kingdom utterly

27. And my whole fell down prostrating
To Him tearfully moaning

28. So I was most deserving of fire
To pray longingly in it

29. Indeed I arrived to Him
When I came near saved
