1. When the heart saw the light of guidance
And what the Merciful did in its creation

2. From the wisdom He gave it in its arrangement
It knew the One who arranged its constitution

3. From the sphere He created with His decrees
To manifest realities in its realm

4. When the knowledge of states hastened
To it while the clouds poured down rain

5. You see no branch of knowledge but that
You see withdrawal, and no period passes

6. But that a period comes
The matter is shared in every battlefield

7. No embryo passes but that an embryo comes
When you see the wonders in the unseen

8. You see the light of the Truth's existence bursting forth
Upon you from behind a veil you supply

9. And in His presence you perceive mysteries hastening
To Him while with coming they perish

10. From Him and from it - how can this be reconciled
Thus we say the matter is shared

11. Between us, and so anxiety spread
For all are anxious, not knowing why

12. Because the door to the existence of knowledge is shut
Its keys are lost to it, so God

13. Has favored tradition since they split
Into theorizing about attaining a knowledge

14. That was not for them, and even if
There were keys they would not have verified

15. So submit - the matter refers
To blindness, and to it all were created

16. We and they were confused - so take the knowledge you were given
And be its follower, so the distinction favors you

17. Do not fear - in every time
They are in doubt which distinction rules

18. It leads them to the place of thought, and it is
A fire burning them, so all are scorched

19. They are called if you actualize communion
As an attribute of their Creator, so believe as they believed

20. And be their deputy, for their essence
Is a neck bowed, and my dress under them was created
