1. My heart alone is the eternal paradise,
For it is the home of the Everlasting.

2. I stood for it with passion, and it knew
Who stood for it, of those who stand.

3. If it turns from it to another, it casts
Its missiles of light towards it.

4. If my heart could see my heart,
I would say, I am the lingering fragrance.

5. The torment you see
Comes from that bliss through us.

6. Truth said to me, from my existence,
And His word is the strong, the upheld:

7. "Inform My servants about Me, that I
Am the Forgiver, the Merciful."

8. And also, the torment of My veil
Is Our painful, bitter torment.

9. I said, which words are best
For me to mention, while the mentioners wander?

10. So the heart of my purity said to me,
With its speech, ancient yet new:

11. "I said to it, who says this?"
So it said to me: "Your Lord, the Knower."

12. I said to it, perhaps I will be content, so tell me:
"O Wise One, what is best for us?"

13. For He is of the highest in us,
And He is the Benefactor, the Generous."

14. So submit the matter, do not care,
For the saying is what the Upholder said.

15. His knowledge in existence wandered
As long as my being dwells in Him.
