1. With my own hands I chastise my daughter,
For she is of my own flesh.

2. I follow the rule of principles,
So nothing is in my hands.

3. Trapped in our time,
Between yesterday and tomorrow.

4. My body is purely material,
My essence is from the One.

5. Like a bow my constitution
The pupil of my eye deviates.

6. My Lord says that
He created me in spirit.

7. So how can I hope for rest
As long as I am in this land?

8. Were it not for Him I wouldn't exist
As one with a father and son.

9. And none were suited to me
Like my Creator from anyone.

10. Attribution is one thing
In the eye of the plural self.

11. And I, to my Creator
In our creation, am like a number.

12. So resolve, my God, between us
In existence, not doctrine.

13. With a fixed nature
From which my evidence stems.

14. That I am like you
And You are my support.

15. By hypothesis, not that I
Am an example, and this is my reason.

16. I denied the example in
Consultation, and this is my belief.

17. And my paradise is lofty
With the fine, tiny pearls.

18. And He only said it
As we have in purpose.

19. The nature of the universe is His
People, and the eye of the One.

20. A husband to it, so they gathered
On my existence and did.

21. I did not say this from sight
That stood by me in eternity.

22. But rather he determined it
For me, the Messenger of the Eternal.

23. So he would dictate and I
Would write from him with my hand.

24. And this is how it is, and none
Knows it except one from anyone.

25. Other than a preceding imam
In goodness, or moderate.

26. And the rest do not know it
Now, but in eternity.

27. And every branch goes back
To its origin, nothing more.
