1. O you who have an ear, the ear has called out to you
Leave off speech when the Merciful converses with you

2. If you are called by the One who imparts wisdom to you
The mysteries will be as celestial spheres for you

3. And if you persist in not comprehending what is laid out before you
The cosmos will be as idols for you
