1. God knows I do not mention Him
For He knows my belief that He is the Rememberer

2. None remembers Him but His essence
While the servant veils it from his eyes, the concealer

3. And I knew what the abode contains of sanctuaries
Veiled from comprehension by the onlooker

4. The abode is an abode of bliss, with no concern for it
If attributed to it, then it is rare

5. Because if they say it for a purpose
From the souls, if there is no deterrent

6. Or like what is said about the spring of beauty when
Its languid glance makes me sick in my eyes

7. My yearning where I have no share of its paradise
From anguish, and it is the present painful thing

8. For anguish gives the person his vigor
Not the abode, so know the experienced is the judge

9. If the abode had others, it would not find
For itself souls whose joy is apparent

10. By what one is blissful with, another is tormented
I mean by it the witnessed cause, not the onlooker

11. So if you knew what we have said, speak with it
And if ignorant, you are the losing trader
