1. The time that I have been counting
Has passed and I did not accomplish in it what I hoped

2. I was patient with it though it resisted me
And knew what I was enduring in it

3. One who misses being able to do what he sought
For it to fulfill a promise it was fulfilling

4. And the time of reconciliation came seeking me
With gratitude when it was generous to me with connection, whoever was in it

5. So I said: O my time, I am displeased with it
While you, by Allah, do not know, though I know it
