1. The One who ordains what is hidden and decreed
Knows what must be and what's rightly achieved

2. His will flows as He wills and intends
In all He desires and seeks to conceive

3. Impatient for what is not yet matured
Or ready, though yearned for, to be unreeved

4. Truth he casts at falsehood to subdue
In time it will be stamped though not yet relieved

5. The Merciful's bounty for us may run out
Yet our never-ending affair is not achieved

6. By my attainment of what seemed prudent
In reaching it, many like me were bereaved
