1. God has sworn to me in Surat Al-Balad
That He created man in distress

2. And He did not intend by this creation anyone
Except my soul with the body

3. It is the presence of the names, His presence
Ninety-nine, never decreasing nor increasing

4. And they are degrees in Paradise according to
Their number, descended by His decree

5. We have no authority in this which I would state
To the listeners, and the matter is in authority
