1. If you speak truly of the Supreme Truth
Then speak truly of all things in their right

2. Take not things from other than their essence
For justice exists not outside its nature

3. So be with the True God in every state
And draw things only as He wills and decrees

4. Take the secret of this matter from its west
And take its light for unveiling from its east

5. So you who pray in place of your Lord
When standing between two bows in prayer

6. Whoever obtains a thing of his God's being
Obtains it only by God's best attribute

7. I am the Truth of all the Names of God
And can fodder be stored except in its right?

8. Lo, I am the servant who cannot be hoped
To be freed by emancipation from his bond

9. And if God's servant is free in his essence
I am not one who says he can be freed
