1. The Almighty commanded the neighbor to care for his neighbor
And all are neighbors of the Lord of mankind and abode

2. So if his neighbor transgresses against him, he has
The choice of forgiveness or retribution in kind

3. If he wills, he may punish him, or forgive with kindness
And forgiveness is the mark of one who heeds the Reciter
