1. I rose to myself to know my Creator
As stated in the Revelation and the ideal Sunnah

2. But I saw only incapacity, I saw nothing else
So I turned away from it and headed to the assembly

3. On the fluttering of ruby and pearls, aiming
And that is our lowest goal, according to the intellect

4. So when the veil of His essence appeared to the eye
I prostrated to it humbly, and it said to us "welcome"

5. And it lifted the veils of obstacles from the eye of our intellect
So I saw a vision without blinking, pure

6. And I said to it "who are you?" It said "your existence"
So I became worthy of it and it became for us a husband

7. So it gave birth to me from every obstructing veil
And it let me drink from that most glorious spring

8. Therefore I love the Chosen One, the master of mankind
As stated with sweetness and the most delicious honey
