1. When the righteous are rewarded
For their piety, pardoned and absolved

2. What further aim do they pursue
Save His sublime proximity imposed and affirmed

3. In Heaven's abode a real existence
And in its essence, majesty and veneration

4. For nearing the Essence is nearing distance
An impossibility so adhere to this assertion

5. Blessed are You, O God in every aspect
Thus revealed in the Quran, glorify Him greatly

6. You decreed God is greater than such
Perplexing the wise with your speech perplexingly

7. Thus you see the people of truth rolled up
Their sleeves from taking it up busily

8. And the people of intellect began it
With their thoughts though had we surrendered like them it would have sufficed

9. Indeed God, the All-Knowing, uttered a word
With his boastings in it destroying him destroyingly
