1. Praise be to God, praise that befits Him,
Praise that meets Him without promise on our part,

2. Perfect praise that admits no defect,
Praise that comes from beyond all boundaries,

3. For boundaries are an order that spreads
Until one asks about the limit of their number,

4. And I say this only on account of those
Who have not attained the opposite by effort.
