1. If miracles were commonplace, they would have no effect on any ignorant soul.
Yet if they were uncommon, to these people they would be the clearest proof, when seen.

2. But for the elite of the people, it makes no difference either way.
They have been distinguished by speaking most soundly.

3. When miracles come into view, you see them intoxicated by them, fearful in every way.
So glory to Him who gave them life and chose them, though they are so few among us.
