1. The letters of extension and softness
Came in a state of tranquility

2. To color me and empower me
To expose me and clothe me

3. And I have through them an existence
By which Allah gives me life

4. And annihilates me, so He isolates me
And keeps me, so He brings me near

5. And if I go astray, He guides me
And if I fall ill, He heals me

6. And if I hunger, He feeds me
And if I thirst, He quenches me

7. And if I come to Him, He comes to me
And if I turn away, He calls me

8. So I meet the world of light
While I am in the world of clay

9. And shame on the perfect one who is lost
In the state of high and low
