1. I am here, I am here, for the conscious and for those who call
For the healthy, free of illnesses and pains

2. You called me in the tongue of truth, seeking me
I am here for I was called by the conscious listener

3. You called me and confided your secret
If I answer, my hopes will not be disappointed

4. Do not rejoice about something you do not know
For identity lies in the called and the caller

5. Through it I heard as through it I spoke, so
It took the place of the Guardian, the Shepherd

6. I follow Him as long as He calls me
Just as I become when I call one of my followers

7. And none of my followers can succeed without me
Even when I call him from among my partisans

8. So He bestows the subtleties of His wisdom
From the forearm to the bringing near and the span

9. For it was predetermined and the measure is not His
And He is the Truthful, so my hearing was confused

10. Where are the blind, when it came from the vein
In His nearness, even when I was hurrying?

11. He comes to me as He said, running,
And the difference is known between extension and limitation

12. Verily transcendence and immanence are interwoven
And that is my knowledge which I know and profess

13. I have said only what the God told us
In describing Him with sayings and positions

14. When I brought it to the marketplace of speech, it refused
And said: “This is not my merchandise or my possessions”

15. Except the mystic and the Sufi joined together
And al-Maʼmūn, and this is my consensus knowledge

16. Verily intellects have a limit which confines them
And the knowledge of creation is not known through them

17. I have announced to you arcane knowledge, yet
I am not one to divulge or disseminate

18. I have found what I seek through journeying
The journey of realities in my solitude and seclusion
