1. Knowledge of the Merciful is not ignorance,
Though He bears ignorance of Himself.

2. Ignorance of the Merciful is knowledge of Him;
The masters of prohibition have depended on it.

3. He said, I do not enumerate what He said to me,
For it is sent from Him.

4. And his friend said, his inability to comprehend Him,
That is how the first related it.

5. And Bustamin said, He
Called on God's servants to descend

6. From the presence of their universes,
But they turned away from Him and did not accept.

7. So when the understanding one came to his Lord,
He who gathers them, home.

8. Whoever fights minds in describing Him,
They certainly fall short of perceiving Him.

9. God, none but He knows Himself,
And here there is no other, so do not neglect.

10. Every knot in His creation
Is fixed in Him even if they shake.

11. He is vaster than their knowledge,
With His knowledge of it they did not attain.

12. Except to the extent to which they
So supreme is the command they detailed.

13. They cannot encompass Him, He said to me,
With knowledge beyond the extent they attained.

14. And that is truly knowledge of Him,
Though it falls short of His knowledge.

15. Thus we said, with my knowledge of Him:
Glory to Him who knows when there is ignorance.

16. The creation have no knowledge but their Lord's,
And among them the Director and Turner.

17. His blessings extended universally, not restricted,
For He is the Benefactor, the Preferrer.

18. Do not say as they say about Him who
Suffers, the people have rushed.

19. If they considered their Lord fairly,
And followed the truth, they would not deviate.
