1. I worshipped God, I worshipped none but Him,
For our object of worship is none but God.

2. The truth of divine oneness is seen in every eye,
So nothing glorifies Him but He.

3. Yet not everyone understands this knowledge,
Even if He has called them to Him.

4. People are veiled from Him by their own selves-
No eye sees Him,

5. No mind perceives Him through reason and proof,
However far its reach extends.

6. He is near in the Law when it states
That He made hearts His sanctuary.

7. He is far from minds
Through evidence—Glorious is He who guards His atoms!
