1. O you for whom my longing flows in my blood
Do you hear my torment and my call?

2. Your image still comforts me whenever
Memories overflow in me and my suffering is prolonged

3. Do not think that I forgot you for a moment
Ask my passion and the length of my crying

4. By Allah, my tongue invokes no prayer
Except I mention you in the letters of my supplication

5. I hope for it while my enamored heart is certain
That He to whom I pray above my hopes

6. Will one day please my heart by our meeting
And if the Merciful decrees that we do not meet

7. Then register my heart among the martyrs
